For most people, school has officially started. And one of the biggest markets in the school industry is gum. You will see someone pull out a piece of gum and now you want some. Trading gum can be very hard to negotiate but I have made it easy to trade and chew.
Never buy a piece of gum for more than 10 cents
If you buy a 12 pack of gum for a dollar that means each piece is worth about 8 cents (do the math it's $0.8333333333 for a piece of gum) However with inflation and profit, it would equal out to about $0.10. However if they charge you more than that IT IS A RIPOFF. Buying it for less is fine, I mean it's their fault for being stupid.
If the pack of gum was in their pocket, don't buy it. It will be hot and disgusting.
If you have ever put your gum in your pocket, you know your gum gets really hot and disgusting. Don't fall for that trap and only trade with people who store their gum in their backpack or purse.
Don't buy Fruit Stripe
Fruit Stripe has a beautiful packaging full of vibrant and fun colors. The only problem? They lose their flavor in 30 seconds and then they taste nasty
If they have Sour Patch gum, beg and plead until they give you some.
Stride made the nectar of the gods when this gum was released. It tastes like sugar straight from the plant itself. It is a magical sensation that everyone deserves to enjoy.
If they offer you Dubble Bubble, They are peasants who don't know what real gum is.
Just no...
